Stoney Lake - Lowell

This is Chloe's first bass... I'm glad she's open to doing things in the outdoors. I'm one proud dad.

Fishing at Wilmington Beach

So far, I've only been landing black tip sharks. 7x 8-12 inches so far. Too dark for pictures and Boone have a light

Slow start this year....

Grand River water levels are way up. Tried to go out tonight but called it off after seeing the high water. I need to get out, I eat my last bag of fish from my freezer this weekend.

First WHOPPER of the year!!!

I had a doctor's appointment today in Lowell... I got to Lowell a little early, so I made my way to the park there in town with the pond.... I'll let the picture say the rest.... I know this fish will make my top 10 biggest bass for this year. Maybe even my top 5.

2010 First Largemouth - Grand River Park - Jenison, MI

Ok - I'm on the board for 2010. Caught 2 largemouth bass today (03/19/10) fishing a small pond at Grand River Park in Ottawa county Michigan. I can hardly wait until June, that way if I wanted to take one home I could.

Bass fishing at Jordan Lake

There was also a little bass fishing, but I wasn't able to find any willing volunteers.  Given the time of the year, I'd guess they're hanging out in deep water on some shelf somewhere.  There was a TON of cover at this location.  I'm looking forward to returning later this year!

I will post more content this year.  I PROMISE!!  North Carolina will be a pretty big adventure every trip, so I pretty much have no choice now.

Fishing at Wilmington Beach

Last week I was in North Carolina visiting family & friends.  I found myself doing a little night fishing, and landing some sand sharks.   I hooked all mine on shrimp, while others were using a minnow.  I can't remember off the top of my head what they were called.    The average size was between 3 and 4ft.  I would have liked to stayed longer, but my ride wasn't going to have it.   Oh well, it's something when a fella from Michigan is holding a shark in his hand!
